Another favorite from my childhood is the unbelievably goofy "It Came From Hollywood" -- the film is really a mash-up of clips from 50s and 60s cheeseball flicks, mixed in with in-between clips from Saturday Night Live alumni such as Dan Akroyd, John Candy, Rick Moranis, as well as Cheech & Chong and others.Along the lines of "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (but well before that show came into existence), "Hollywood" was the film that introduced me to b-movie schlock as a young'un, and I probably brought this one home from good ol' Choice Video at least a dozen times over the years. It was poised to be released on DVD a couple years ago, but then literally a month before streeting, it was yanked, apparently because of all the difficulties in getting release rights for the dozens of films featured in this b-movie compliation. Somewhere out there, there are DVDs ready to hit the shelves, and I'd sure love it if someone from Paramount could see fit to drop me a copy anonymously in the mail... wink wink, nudge nudge.
